That's true even on LS-series Chevs that were designed this way. On some, 
they split the air inlet into two smaller curved pieces that each go to an 
air cleaner, missing the radiator thats right there. And on some engines, the 
upper part of the air intake can be reversed without much trouble, putting 
the inlet in back where it should be for us. That includes the supercharged 
modular version used in the Ford GT. See the back pg of the Feb POCA News for
