In my Longchamp i have my personal experience with normal, E10 and E85.
I have two alumnium gastanks and can switch between both. I can't say, that
the numbers of fuel consume match to my exprience.
I can't find any messureable difference between E10 and normal fuel. With
E85 it take about 20% more. With E85 the engine is more powerful. E85 is
about 35% cheaper than regular and 30% than E10 over here. After four years
and about 10.000 miles, i found no problems with my tanks and the edelbrock
carb. Only the lead on one metal flowter in the carb had a crack on my tour
thrue france, but that happend to me in my Pantera 15 years ago also with an
edelbrock carb. Back in that days, we had no ethanol in the fuel. What i
found, that all sorts of our moden fuel olders after three month and the
engine quits it with light pinging.
Just my experience and nothing else.
