[DeTomaso] Ethanol "enriched" (diluted) fuel

Poor mileage is only one factor. According to some reports, the real 
problem is that ALL U.S. auto manufacturers will void any factory warranty on cars 
burning over 10% ethanol, due to the very high risk of engine damage. The 
Gov't is quietly fighting this battle, too but you'll not read anything in 
the liberal press on it. 
10% is marginally OK if you can stand the drop in efficiency, and at that 
it better be a late model 'cause old cars don't work too well on even 10% 
unless specifically modified to accept it. Corrosion, rubber damage -the list 
goes on. One highly tuned 351-C Pantera I drove wouldn't even start on the 
starter on 10%; it had to be bump-started and when finally running, it pinged 
at IDLE. The owner degassed it and powered his lawn mower all summer with
