Jeff,
You need "Zinc Chromate Primer" to seal your Campy wheels. It's getting more and more difficult to find because it's carcinogenic, but Aircraft Spruce still sells it.
Here's what I did:

And I used aerosol cans of the following paints...
Zinc Chromate Primer from Aircraft Spruce:

Silver Argent Wheel Paint from Eastwood:

Diamond Clear Satin paint from Eastwood for the final top coat:

FWIW, I went through this in 2007. I found that Eastwood Light Argent Silver
Rally wheel paint was a VERY close match to the original wheel color, especially when coated with Diamond Clear (satin finish). Another option is to take an
original wheel that has not been repainted or stripped to your local
body shop and let them mix the paint to match - Mike Drew did this with
excellent results. I spent about $200 on stripper, Zinc Chromate Primer, Eastwood Silver Argent and Diamond Clear paint, and then invested
countless hours annealling the wheels and doing all the dirty work. I
think Mike paid $100/wheel to have the shop re-do his wheels. I think I'd drop
them off at a body shop if I had it to do over again. Just something to think about.
Cheers!
Garth
