You are doing yourself a great disservice by just coming for a single day.  
 I wouldn't go so far as to say it's completely pointless, but it is 
obviously important to you.   I would suggest that Friday and Saturday would be a 
reasonable compromise; you could do the track on Friday, and Saturday there 
will be a big car show where most cars will be together all at one time.   
Too, there will be others (locals, for instance) who might not be able to 
make it to events during the week, but would be available on the Saturday.   If 
seeing the maximum number of cars is the goal, I would tend in that 
direction.
