Here is my boring list:

1) 1974 Ford Capri Mk.I, 2.8 (new - loved it and drove it until 1990 - sold it for the Pantera)
2) 1970 Chevy SS (bought as a winter car in 1975)
3) 1974 DeTomaso Pantera (still have it - bought in Calgary 1990)
4) 1992 Ford Escort (hatchback) (new)
5) 1994 Jeep Cherokee Ltd (bought in 1996)
6) 1998 Jeep Cherokee Ltd (bought in 2000 - still have it)
7) 2002 Ford Focus SE (Station Wagon) (new - still have it)

Not a very exciting list - but there you have it. My 38 years of car ownership

don't be so negative about the current crop of cars!  First, a Honda Accord
is probably faster than my 1969 mustang.  Just has no soul.  Second, look at
camaros, corvettes, mustangs, and some of the current mopars - they actually
are pretty cool.  And third, a lot of the younger crowd really enjoys their
import crap (miatas, supras, etc) - not my thing, but maybe what they will
be excited about in 20 yrs.
The hard part is that anyone with an interest can work on an old car.  Who
is going to be able to restore a 2012 porsche, with engine managment
computers, transmission computers, heat/radio control modules, computer
controlled shocks, rollbars, and steering?  Plus, when you're all done, you
have a really expensive car that looks like a VW Beetle and sounds like a
hoover vacuum!!
