Dear New Owner:

The Pope recommends:
Verify the ring gear bolts are safety wired.  Don't believe the PO (previous owner) - VERIFY!
Check the dipstick and tube for proper lengths to insure proper oil levels.
Make sure the engine does NOT have the original two piece valves - that is an accident waiting to ruin your budget.

You may be able to search the archives for the nitty gritty details.  Once these are chores are done you may TAKE IT OUT AND PLAY WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replace Gas filter
Drain, flush and redo brkaes and clutch fluids
drain flush and refill radiator, 1/3 100% antifreeze 2/3 distilled water
and 1 bottle of Water Wetter,
Check Pads and Rotors
Check A/C levels

get new Tires ASAP
New Plugs, wires
Replace all belts and hoses ( and carry spares belts)
Check gas lines for dry rot.
