And didn't you tell me that you sold and later repurchased the 63 vette so it is back in the family?

I may have mentioned this before, but when we were in college we had a 63 Corvette coupe, and I drove my wife to the hospital while she was in labor with our first child in it. So, in the real world things sometimes fit where they don't fit! --BILL Lewis

I have admit that I've done that before.

A less than likeable acquaintance tried to jump into the Pantera after a friend was driving it around.

He wasn't overly tall (under 6ft), but luckily about 30 lbs overweight, and couldn't comfortably fit in between the steering wheel and race seat bolster.

"Sorry, seat is not adjustable."

I think he just knew you well enough that he didn't want you to drive it! :)

The car was new, too...

Unfortunately a lot of exotic sports cars are too small for us tall guys; although I had a 308 and don’t remember it being that bad. In fact my recollection is that it was roomier than my Pantera, but it’s been a long time ago so my memory could be questionable…

>>>I drove your Ferrari 308 from Texas to California to deliver it to new (and current) owner Rick Moseley. Your recollection is correct. They have quite a bit more room than a Pantera inside, and are certainly more comfortable. I'm six feet tall and had to have the seat several clicks forward of the rearmost position to be seated correctly.

I would suggest that the 308 Kirby tried had 'issues' and the seat wasn't all the way back.

I've seen the 308 that was used in Magnum PI; they had to cut the floorpan and bolt the seat to the floor and Tom Selleck was still never really 'in' that car; his head stuck out through the top and there is no way they could fit the roof on.
