[DeTomaso] Ferrari 308 roominess (was F1 Experience)

A buddy of mine owned one of the "pretty" 308 QVs from Magnum and mentioned seat and floor modifications.

He loved the car until he got T Boned leaving a restaurant in Palm Beach, FL during a Cavallino Classic weekend.

Unfortunately a lot of exotic sports cars are too small for us tall guys; although I had a 308 and don’t remember it being that bad. In fact my recollection is that it was roomier than my Pantera, but it’s been a long time ago so my memory could be questionable…

>>>I drove your Ferrari 308 from Texas to California to deliver it to new (and current) owner Rick Moseley.   Your recollection is correct.   They have quite a bit more room than a Pantera inside, and are certainly more comfortable.   I'm six feet tall and had to have the seat several clicks forward of the rearmost position to be seated correctly.

I would suggest that the 308 Kirby tried had 'issues' and the seat wasn't all the way back.

I've seen the 308 that was used in Magnum PI; they had to cut the floorpan and bolt the seat to the floor and Tom Selleck was still never really 'in' that car; his head stuck out through the top and there is no way they could fit the roof on.
