Fwiw I just sent an MSD box a guy bought on the Internet to MSD for a health check. They tested it for eight hours on a test rig, then four more hours in a sub freezing test chamber, called it good as new and sent it back. No charge except for shipping, if my memory is correct!

They promptly tested the coil and proved it was working to spec. They do not repair coils, but they'll test them for a small fee. The box was tested and found faulty and repaired for about $35 and returned. Total turnaround time was about 2-3 weeks. No problems. I would send your MSD ignition module to them without concern.
