[DeTomaso] Headlights

Jack,

While I rebuilt my car, I removed and inspected every single wire. I
discovered that the connector behind the passenger's headlight was bad.
Part of it had pushed out of the connector. When I connected the wires,
it wouldn't properly engage, so the connection was spotty at best.
Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn't. And, it couldn't pass enough
current to light the brights properly.

My point, is you should check all of the connections. You can trace
everything starting behind the passengers headlight.

The raise/lower motor is behind the driver's headlight. Assuming
everything on your car is wired correctly, you can remove everything,
clean it, and reinstall.

You should not have motorcycle headlights. I really like my Cibie
headlights, but if you change to high output lights, you need to switch
the wiring inside the cabin. Many use relays, and they work well. I am
using the headlight/motor controller by Jon Haas at
www.pantera-electronics.com.
