I read somewhere where someone got scammed by a bank transfer-- if the sending bank renigs, the accepting bank renigs too and takes the money out of your account.

You might want to check with your bank

I have used only bank to fed to bank wire transfers for the last several
ears. Let the bank be responsible,  once the money has been confirmed as
n deposit, it's yours. Only the seller pays ( $15-25.00)

 Have your banker disclose their policy and time table regarding full,
 verified clearance of a cashiers check.

 Only when that cashiers check is confirmed by them do you have your money.

 Your deposit slip is not a guarantee of funds.
