[DeTomaso] NPC, musclecar lifting front wheels

I'm sure most of us here have worked on musclecars at one time, so here's a
story and some questions

In the 80s on a dragstrip in Sweden, on a weekend for non-pros, a
spectacular thing happened, not seen before in the Nordics. A 66 Chevelle
managed to lift its front wheels with such power that it was almost 45
degrees, and the rear wheels also lifted, because the trailer hook hit the
ground. There was a picture taken where it's clear all 4 wheels were off the
ground. Wish I could find it. BTW, the trailer hook was used to drag his
caravan that he slept in when going to car events, i.e. he drove that car on
long trips. An all steel car. Pretty cool

The questions are about, what does it take to build a car that can
consistently lift its front wheels:

. How much power is needed?

. Can it be done on street tires?

. Can it be done with normal rear suspension or is 4 link needed?

. Does the front have to lightened with fiberglass fenders, hood etc
(apparently not)?

. What else is needed?

. Anybody on this forum had such a car?

Mikael
