[DeTomaso] NPC: Radar Detectors

My birthday is a week away and the wife said that she will buy a
replacement for my formerly super reliavble Escort Solo 2 which had a 9
year life span, alarms too numerous to mention, zero tickets and was
powered by 2 AA batteries which meant no cord issues.

A lot of technology has changed since this unit was made.

I'd appreciated any first person recommendations
On what to ask her to order.
