FWIW, that was the original use for Bungee cords during WW2 in the South 
Pacific. Except a few big sailors on the end of the bungee were used, not a 
vehicle, and the planes were Corsairs and TBDs, not little planes. Wimps 
nowadays! I've also been aboard a C-118 with a bad starter solenoid on #1 engine; 
the crew chief took off a piece of engine cowling and reached in from a 
ladder with a long screwdriver to short the solenoid terminals and fire the 
engine. Just like on an old car except noisier & a bit more dangerous 2ft from
