sent. There is some BS homemade bracket holding a microswitch in the wrong
position????
You see the two tiny bolts that hold the bracket to the plate that the
headlight motor mounts to? THAT is where the microswitch is supposed to be
mounted!
I don't even see how your headlights could raise up with the setup you have
now. Oh, wait, do you have some sort of low-profile headlight setup that
requires moving the up-limit switch to prevent the buckets from opening as
far? If so, then that's your problem. You've got long bolts sticking out
towards the centerline of the car which would hit the radiator, as the bolts
are supposed to go in through the switch, with nuts welded on the back side
of the bracket. Also, you've got electrical weirdness because you have
one of the electrical contacts of the switch connected directly to one of the
mounting bolts with a short length of wire???
That whole thing looks quite hopeless to me at the moment. It needs a
thorough sorting out and rethink. But there's nothing wrong with your new
radiator, or your chassis. It's the Rube Goldberg relocating and rewiring of
the headlight switch that is AFU.
