[DeTomaso] Carbon Fiber Pantera Hood

I think the weight of a carbon fiber part depends on if it's made in an autoclave.  The autoclave parts are lighter and a lot more expensive.

I've seen figures of 1.5 kgs for a front hood and 3 kgs for a rear hood.
Is this close to what your brother's hood weighs?

My brother has one on his Pantera from Pantera International 
Motorsports circa a few years ago. The fit is much better than their 
version of ten to twelve years ago. It is light, but I am not sure that 
the carbon fiber hood doesn't have a bit of good ol' fiberglass in it 
and just an overlay veneer of carbon fiber. IIRC, a full CF hood or 
deck is phenomenonally light and expensive........
