[DeTomaso] Modern 15" Tire Options

Paul the Michelins are likely (as I haven't seen or measured them yet) close enough to work.

Yes, they may be a touch short which will result in sharper handling and some speedo inaccuracy?

I don't even look at my speedo but I know I have one on the dashboard. 

The Pirellis and Hoosiers should be close enough for any narrow body car. 

True, these are not street tires, but they will warm up as the rest of the car does for spirited driving. 

 Is it odd that so many people will go the extra mile for 500 bhp, big brake kits and adjustable suspension only to use an outdated tire design due to relatively minor size concerns?

Because you were talking about wide tires I assumed you were thinking 
about rears. The Pirelli's 15" tires aren't wide enough for a GT5 or 
tall enough for a standard car.

The Pirelli 305 35-15 are more than 3" too short for a standard body car 
with 10" wide Campis.  The standard rear GT5 rear should be a 345-35-15 
which is 1.5" wider and 1.2" taller than the Pirelli.

The Michelin's were the similar.  Though their rear tire for the GT5 is 
pretty close.

Of course all of these tires aren't really street tires.
