[DeTomaso] FW: Counterfeit Cars

It's amazing how people try to get their car to look like something it's
not. Fiberglass Ferraris, Panteras turned into Audi R8s (yuck!), BMWs with M
badge, and as a lifelong Camaro fan, I can't count the fake SSs and Z28s
I've seen. Kinda pitiful...

It was on the news. From above, it looked like a Ferrari engine, but it was
a fiberglass cover. Lift it up and you have a 2 liter 4-banger :o

Shame there are no photos I'd really like to see how they achieved it given
the statement "The final appearance of the supposed deluxe vehicles -- in
their external and internal design and even in the details of the engine --
simulated to perfection the look of the original models," 


Not like they were faking a more expensive versions from a lesser model,
they were supposedly turning ordinary cars into Ferrari's and Aston's! Even
those Fiero kits still smack of Fiero with a body kit.
