[DeTomaso] Slave Cylinder

when my slave cylinder was ugly and oxidized, I bought a new standard from 
hal.
 I adjusted the length of the rod too the same length as the old one was.
 but when I press the clutch pedal .I get one bad sound. sounds like the 
bearing sharp in the clutch.
but with the pedal out, there is no sound. everything sounds good.
Are there some of you who have experienced this? and possibly have any idea 
what this could be and how I can fix this?
