[DeTomaso] Gold Wheel Colors

I am going to experiment with the gold rubber coating so as not to disturb the original silver paint on my wheels.

If I don't like it or get sick of it, I can always remove easily.

Thanks for the feedback,
LS

>>>That GT5 is a 1972 converted to GT5 spec; it originally had silver wheels but he decided to paint them gold, just because he got a wild hair, such as you have. :>)

(That car belongs to Geoff Peters of London, and is the one I got to drive from London to Italy and back for the De Tomaso 50th reunion in 2009; Geoff will be at the Fun Rally, and in fact is my best man).

Geoff just picked a color he liked without specific reference to anything.   I think you should do likewise.

Mike (likes the hue of the factory Gr4 car in your first photo link, but you really can't go wrong--although I will say that with a black car, I prefer the silver wheels; gold really looks good on a red car, such as the three examples you showed...)
