Stumbled across an auto performance-upgrade chip that promises increased EVERYTHING!

WOW!!   More power!  Better MPG!  Smoother running!  

Two wire install, and only $69.00.

Too good to be true?

Googled it and found the below linked website.

I find it worth sharing as the website owner has presented a very well documented, clearly explained
and well laid-out description of how current scammers are not just selling an empty box with two wires
but (for the potential curious buyer) are filling the box with a PC board complete with a prominent chip
and associated components.

WOW! said the curious buyer upon opening his shiny aluminum chip enclosure.
This unit really does have a chip and everything. No scam here...........
