[DeTomaso] good news?

Hell...with fuel cost on the rise and the economy in the Crapper! I can't afford to even drive my Car let alone ever think about buy a new Pantera!
 
I'm sure if BMW ever does put together a deal for DeTomaso and builds a Pantera it will be out of my price range anyway! That might help the value of the Real Pantera!

I'd prefer that things stay status quo.

The new Mustang is a Mustang in name only.  Same thing for the new Camaro,
Challenger, Charger, etc.

If BMW buys DeTomaso, any new cars will be BMWs with the DeTomaso name.
After all, they're not going to hire Tom to do their designs.

On the flip side, it could shut down some of the vendors.  I don't mind
having to buy emblems from BMW, but there isn't enough market for BMW to
support us - not like our vendors do.

Either way, it doesn't really excite me one way or the other.
