That would surely create a strange visual effect as seen from inside the Vette.  You quickly approach the dragster and then it quickly 
moves away from you again. :-)

 I'm told that if that Corvette does 60 mph, and the dragster is allowed to start when the front of the Corvette reaches the rear of the dragster, the dragster will accelerate so quick that the Corvette will never pass it. Or in other words, a dragster can go to 60 mph in less than a dragster-length
