That has certainly happened before.

This could be great for the marque...well, at this point, anything is great for the marque isn't it?

Bigger club meetings, renewed interest in older models, professional Detomaso race teams!?

Let's hope for the best.

Granted, BMW is not Italian, so it's not ideal, but at least Ford isn't involved to screw things up this time.

If I'm a vendor I wouldn't want to have a bunch of DeTomaso logo merchandise on 
hand if it happens.  I'll bet BMW would have their lawyers out in droves to shut 
that down.

Nice article about the car and possible merger. I have this rumor a couple
of other places as well. It would be nice to see the brand resurrected but
