Only the black-painted Ariston shocks (originally built under licence from
Koni) from the '71s can be rebuilt. The far more common blue '72-up Telecar
shocks, when worn out, are worthless. Pat Mical at Future Auto in MA has
occasionally rebuilt and even added adjustable-height spring perches to the
Aristons. But even after all this, modern gas-pressurized Konis will work
better and will have adjustable damping at little more cost than rebuilt but
no-adjustable-damping OEMs. 'Course, the Aristons will be "stock" so are a
benefit for show cars. Good luck- J Deryke
