The engine is a GMC 702cu V12. My brother builds them for hot rodders:

I picked up the Nascar at the Auborn Auction a few years back. I really
didn't mean to but it was so cheap. It was a Jack Ingrams car that was at
the Natmas museum in Auborn. It was in their basement when they had some
flooding. The water came up to the floor boards. he engine that came with
it has a hole you can put your fist through. I suspect that is why the car
is still in one piece.

I really don't know the history on it. Instead of a 9" rear it has a rear
end with changeable gears. Which makes me think some one was playing with
the car after Jack had it. It also has a filler on the right side. Never
had one on the left which means it would have been one of the road race
cars for places like Watkens Glen; which is good because it was not just
set up to go left.

It was cheap enough I think I am going to make it a rolling dyno so to
speak. I want to build an engine for the Trans Am and I figure I can run
it in this car first; have some fun. We have a drag strip a couple miles
from the house. It would be an easy chassis to clean up and get going
again; unlike a production car with windows, mirrors, wipers,
environmental's, interior, etc.

I think the plan would be to strip it down, cut the body off and just get
it sand blasted and painted. I have less money in this then I do the
shocks I put on the Pantera so it would be easy to get it going and drive
it without worry of what it is.
