[DeTomaso] Incredible example of Tjaarda design

I didn't know it was still being made. It isn't the same as the 1980's
Fiesta, but I guess nothing is with all of the plastic and safety.

BTW, our Insight just rolled over 185,000 miles. And I had to replace my
first flat. When I was removing the flat tire, one lug nut locked up. I
had no choice, but to twist it off. By the power of Grayskull!! I drove
home (slowly) with 3 lugs. I went to the parts store expecting a long wait
and lots of $$'s to replace the rotor. A new rotor was $19. A new stud was
$1.29. I bought the stud, not to save $17.71, but because I didn't want to
deal with replacing both sides, and I didn't want to deal with pads. I
replaced the stud in my driveway in about 45 minutes. And a new rotor
wouldn't have helped anyway. It's a two-piece design. The stud seats on
the hub, not the rotor. See what I mean about cheap to operate? I can
replace rotors, pads, and brake fluid for under $100.

The new Fiat 500 is probably closer to the Fiesta design anyway. It least
it is a 2-seater.

Ford still sell the Fiesta model, whether it is to your taste or not is
another question. The Focus is slightly bigger and the RS version packs over
300HP, unfortunately Ford has no plans to bring it to the US, but word is
the next hot hatch could be a Fiesta RS.
