[DeTomaso] Deck lid wobbles

OK...You baby your car.  Don't mean it but I said it.  :-)
I've seen chipping on cars with the later style latch but I beleive it was because the lid and latch weren't adjusted.
There was no load on or between the latch and bumpers.  The lids just sat on the bumpers because the latch closed to early
and had enough play to move around.  I hope that explains it...you should have to put a little pressure on the lid 
to latch it and everything should close snugly.
