[DeTomaso] Highest ZF tempeature ?

I assume wipe as oily stuff don't wash off that well with water.

As an alternate to the clear coating, when I had my ZF rebuilt two years
ago, the mechanic, who used to work on the BMW M-1 Racing team where he
cut
his ZF chops, said he recommends spraying down a clean original aluminum
ZF
with a liberal coat of WD-40, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe it
down thoroughly. I did this before it went back into the car, and it's
been
a dream to keep clean ever since.

However, there are different clear coats out there that are rated at
different temperatures.

Does anyone know what would be the highest temperature a ZF would
experience
