[DeTomaso] unsprung weight

A couple of years ago or so I created a page for parts weights.

http://www.detomasoregistry.org/Members/TechInfo/PartWeights.asp

Response was disappointing. (Nothing received.) I'm not going to weigh
everything myself, so 'we' need anyone that can provide some data to do so.

The following appears at the top of the above linked page:

If you have weighed some part, please send a photo of the item (if
possible), the DeTomaso part number (if available) and the weight (with and
without hardware) in either metric or standard weight.

Anyone have suggestions for column headings feel free to speak up, and send
along with a part weight or two, and I'll update the page.

This would allow people like Rich a single location to look up unsprung
weight as a great example.

I did ask Jack DeRyke years ago if he could share his knowledge, as he has a
ongoing project of weighing parts and substituting lighter weight
components, but I never received a reply. I know he did publish some data
in his newsletter over the years. Perhaps unsprung weight is listed there?

Chuck

thanks for everyones response.
I was not that clear in my question.
I understand what unsprung weight is by definition.
I wanted to know what the pantera unsprung parts weigh without having to
take my car apart and figure it out.
I can weigh the tire and wheel but what do the other unsprung parts weigh?
Thanks Rich

>>>The wheel and tire are part of the unsprung weight. A Google search
turned up lots of references; here's but one:
