[DeTomaso] NPC; Who let's an 18 year old loose with a Ferrari?

There was a similar episode a year or two ago here in S. Calif. where a rich kid got a similar car for Christmas and was racing up and down a street full of Christmas Eve traffic.  At somewhere north of 100mph (speed limit probably 35) he got airborne over a rise, bounced off the curb, flew across a wide median and 4 lanes of traffic and hit a truck on the other side of the road.  His passenger cousin was killed and the car burst into flames, burning the driver.  The truck driver was not injured.

The rich family is suing the city claiming the road wasn't safe.  :-(


Only by the grace of God did the car bounce off the curb and thus avoid a double line of cars full of holiday shopping families ahead of it.

Ferraris of that ilk burst into flame very commonly if they are hit near the gas tank because it splits open and the gas contacts the catalytic convertors, which are very close by.
