I think you're a little unfair to Chuck.  He has a lot of time invested and how he decides to "share the wealth" I think is up to him.  I assume he believes that it is fair to ask for information in return for access to his registry.  I don't know how he deals with someone looking for a first Pantera, maybe provisional access?  You'd have to ask him.
 
People who buy and work on their own Panteras are all a little different from the average car owner.  Not an opinion, just my experience.

the registry & registry guy is a screwed deal.  Not an opinion, just my experience. (i've never been able to access ANYTHING and want to buy a Pantera - go figure!)
