FWIW,
 
The MSD ignition box main power input is connected directly to  the battery 
and the ignition box is "turned on" by very small current on  a separate 
wire from the ignition switch.
 
Once the MSD box is turned on, it will likely take a very,  very small 
current to keep it turned on.
 
The fans running down or the ignition charge light might easily  keep the 
ignition turned on.
 
Stepping on the brakes, as mentioned, should fix that  problem.
