Your now alone.  We did not let the kids have texting until they were out of high school.  When the oldest went to OSU, we HAD to get it, because OSU was doing all its communicating with freshmen on orientation activities via texting and he was missing stuff.  There was never a mention that texting was required on their phone, it was just assumed that everyone had it.  Thought I was the only bad parent!

I don't even have texting. My cell phone company has sent emails wanting
o know why I don't upgrade. We did not let our daughter have texting till
he is out of high school. We are seen by many as mean mean parents.
She ran her car off the road on a wet curve last summer. We KNOW it was
ot due to texting!!! You have to let you kids fail at certain things so
hey can grow. I know my daughter. That was something we were not willing
o let her fail or die from.
We seem to be in the minority.

 I'm not as important as you guys! I still have a Razor Phone!  Make a
 call, in coming call! Sometimes a short text? Works for me! I know, still
 living in the stone age! Got to go getting a call from Fred Flintstone!

 iLike mine. I used a Blackberry until the i5 finally had everything I
 needed. And I was able to drop my iPod Touch from my utility belt. All my
 iPods and iPads make me happy. Even my iMac. And I'm a PC guy.

 The only thing I don't like about it is the way email is handled

 the new iPhone 5, oops, I need a new sim card, and a new charging cord.

 oops, my $$$ loudspeaker with the previous iCrap standing on top, can't

 a sound anymore. I've had a iPhone 4 for 3 months so I know, good games,
 the
 rest is crap, back to my Blackberry.
