I subscribe to over 30 magazines, journals, etc. There isn't a night at
home that I don't read at least one from cover to cover.
I also get a dozen things online, some like Autoweek on a daily basis.
The main advantage to paper is the ability to touch, feel, smell, archive
and cut out Harbor Freight coupons.
The online stuff is archiveable as well, takes up no space, is searchable
and has full color photos and video.
Imagine my Tail of the Dragon footage as part of an article with unlimited
photos.
As a former High School, College and Real newspaper writer and
photographer, the number one complaint is alway space limitations.
An online edition has no such limitation.
As a HOA President and BOD member I have taken two community newsletters
off trees and put them online, saving one community over $60,000 a year in
printing and postage.
Lastly and perhaps best of all, no more dealing with Printers, no delays,
no excuses, no BS about the cost of ink, paper and his hired help.
For all you tree huggers...well more trees to get downright sloppy wet
hugging and kissing.
So the option online can be summed up rather quickly.
Cheaper, Bigger, unlimited photos and video, editable after the fact, and
it can be put together in hours.

Michael Shortt

And if you want to, you can still print it out and save it in a three ring
binder.

I actually resist the need to follow the sheep. I don't follow the mindset
that everyone is going off paper so we must have to. If the majority chose
to so be it; but not because it is no longer fashionable.
