[DeTomaso] NPC - Mike Drew

" Maybe there just isn't enough to report in the Pantera world to require 12
monthly and 4 quarterly publications. "

Just tell people to write something. Don't ask. Tell them. Everybody has to
contribute. (don't tell me to write anything right now, I'm preparing my car
for paint)

My point is that it shouldn't be left to a few to write it all. And we all
have digital cameras of a decent quality, or know somebody that has. Share
the burden.

Mikael

The Vintage Triumph Register puts out a 32 page color newsletter / mag (on
thinner paper than the Profiles) 6 times per year. Dues are $35.
IIRC the dues for POCA were $75 when I first joined in 1990, so with
inflation membership is actually cheaper now.

Maybe there just isn't enough to report in the Pantera world to require 12
monthly and 4 quarterly publications.
Mike, what do you think of 2 Profiles per year rather than 4?

Jim

Guy,

The budget was set up to afford a monthly black and white publication as
well as FOUR color slick paper publications of many pages as you can see
from the budget that is published in the Newsletter every year. Our
treasurer carefully crunches numbers as that's his department and I can't
account how other clubs might pay for their expenses.

$12 for dues in 2012?? Even PCNC's dues 32 years ago when we joined was
$15!!
That was before we became a POCA chapter.

Black and white xerox, in 2012

Judy

I wouldn't crow too loudly about the monthly "Newsletter", which is too
often in

truth the DeRyke family gazette. Black and white xerox, in 2012 ? Even the
local Triumph club monthly newsletter is full-color, and they have <100
members and the dues are like $12 a year. The FCA local chapter is about as
big as all of POCA, another full-color newsletter every month.

Or so it seems to me, I could be wrong...

GD

Well, just keep enjoying the monthly Newsletter which has always been on
time for the last many, many years, even to the point when the computer had
to be replaced just as it was about to be sent to the printer and an
occasional health

issue. We do have By-laws and its just nice to see them upheld.

He may tell everyone he will have more time but we still have NOT seen a
Profiles for 2012!!! By this time #3 should've been in everyone's hands.
Sad ,

sad, sad.

I'm trying to read "between the lines" but, boy am I confused. In the Sept
Newsletter, Mike Drew, in his Candidate Statement - Profile Editor, says,
"Upcoming changes in my employment status will afford me increased time to
dedicate to the task...."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------Then

later on in the article, 2013 POCA Fun Rally Update #1, Gil Mares says,
"Did I
mention that a wedding will be conducted during the Fun Rally? Yep, Mike
Drew
and Lori Albino will be tying the knot...." ---------------Getting
married! More time! Mike, I have some ocean-front property in AZ for
sale.
