Steve, I just read your last sentence again. I wonder if everyone else understood your problem. So you did not need better "adhesive" properties, but a better quality tape? -Bill

> Thanks to Kevin Abbey (PCNC) for his suggestion to use 3M Windo Weld. I bought a tube at Autozone (about $25 and I'll never use all of it) but worth it to me if it fixes my problem. It applies very quickly so I didn't have to stand by the car holding the mirror for more than 10 - 15 minutes. I held it longer probably becase I'm paranoid. It took a set in an hour and I left it for 24 hours. I feels very secure. Now we'll see if it works long term. BTW, I used regular old rubbing alcohol and a razor blade to clean the window surface, it works just fine for both the 3M Windo Weld and 3M double sided tape. As I said in my initial post, I never had a problem with the tape sticking to either the window or the mirror. The tape itself was pulling apart at the top, and the mirror was sagging and would have gotten worse driving with wind and vibration.
