2500 lbs is going to be very hard to achieve.
The Group 4 that Ron McCall and I own, weighs 2731 lbs with 13 gallons of
race gas.
Car specs:
1. Stripped
2. Caged
3. Seam welded
4. Koolmat brand light weight insulation
5. Roush Yates 358 dry sump motor
6. No A/C
7. Glass front wind shield, all other glass replaced with lexan
8. Twin tank fuel system
9. OMP race seats/belts/wheel
10. Stripped doors
11. Kirk Evans projector headlights
12. Fiber glass rear decklid
13. Euro style bumperettes
14. Fiber glass flares and airdam
15. Composite fiber splitter
At some point the you're going butt up against the fact that this is not a
tube frame car with light weight body panels.
