[DeTomaso] Cup holders - Pantera content

Ah, Chris -- I see it now on this email thread. I had gone straight to the site and like a fool, typed in "cup holder" instead of the proper, "Folding Boat Drink Holder" But, then I got confused: I don't own a "folding boat." And, on the passenger side, it would not be in the way, because when my wife rides with me, she sticks her "large" purse down there, along with groceries, etc. You should have seen us packed in on our trip to Phoenix last year. ----Bill

I stuck mine to the passenger-side of the console, so that I can reach it by reaching over the console, or the passenger could use it, too. I have it positioned so that the base, when folded down, rests on the floor, so the stickum doesn't have to support the weight of the drink. When finished, it folds up nicely and blends in with the black vinyl.

In reviewing the $66,000 Porsche Boxster, the comment is made: "Only the cup holders disappoint." So, it's OK to talk about them in regards to Panteras. Being that some of your cars are driven on the road, how do you handle the "Yes, there are no cup holders in a Pantera" problem? I've tried the squeeze the container between my legs technique. I've done the "screw-top" type of plastic bottle. I've even done the, "Honey, can you hold this for me?" routine. Thanks, Bill
