Somehow I lost no trees or branches in this storm.
I have several chords of wood from the October snow storm of last year
though.

Indianapolis dispatched several crews.
Don't know if it is true, I heard, on the radio, that some areas were
turning away out of state help if they were non-union crews.
IndyDave
(Northern) California also sent crews. I thought this odd in a way, as it
must take 3-4 days to drive cross-country, and suck up a lot of gas doing
so.
Then the news report showed the (PG&E) trucks being loaded onto aircraft.
Wow.
It is nice to see people helping people.
Tony, are you busy cutting away trees?
A few years back our local mountains were hit hard, with roads closed from
fallen trees. I drove up there with some friends and our chain saws.
It took us a few hours to clear one highway blockage, and when the "big"
boys arrived with "real" chain saws (State road crews), they did the next
one in only 20 minutes, so we move on to clearing driveways/ private roads
which they had to skip.
It turned into a BIG party, with BBQs, music, hot chocolate, tents to get
out of the rain for a break etc...
I am still burning wood I hauled home.
Chuck
