[DeTomaso] Original Flare Angle (was Brake Flaring Tool)

What is the flare angle original to the Pantera? 37.5 or 45? I ran into a
mismatch when I redid the lines at the back of the car and put in 90 degree
fittings at the inner fender pass-through to eliminate the loop of brake
line that sticks out in the bay. I had to source some 1/16" soft aluminum
flare seals from Aircraft Spruce to take up the difference, but I can't
remember which was which flare angle. The thing that always bothered me
about using the flare seals was not knowing if they were perfectly centered
in the flare when I tightened them, or if they were off-angle and
restricting fluid flow.

The BrakeQuip tool is the one that I remember reading about. The K-Tool
works the same way. I didn't write down the brand (BrakeQuip), so when I
looked for the tool, I saw the K-Tool and bought it.

I guess it just proves once again that the right tool really makes a
difference.

I got so frustrated with the crap cheap flaring tools I splurged and
purchased the BrakeQuip BQ350 some time back after conducting an internet
review search. It's not cheap, but it's the only flaring took I expect to
own in my lifetime.
