[DeTomaso] coolant Temp senders, engine block

I have used it for years, both before and after i installed an oil cooler
(water/oil). One nice feature is that it's showing the return temp from the
oil cooler, i.e. the oil going into the lubrication system. The drawback is
that it's showing the return temp from the oil cooler, i.e. the oil going
into the lubrication system. ;-) Some people might find it more useful to
monitor pan temp which is probably a much higher reading under hard load.

If a person is running a stock oil pan, where would you suggest
installing the oil temp sender?  Will the port above the filter and fuel
pump do it?
