I recently did research on this subject and found that the Diehard Platinum is really an Odyssey battery for a little less money.  You can compare the battery case of each and find that they look exactly the same. 

AGM (Absorbant Glass Mat) seems to be the technology that most of the high end battery manufacturers are going with.
