Todd,
Lunati has a good reputation with their Pro series cranks,  American forged, machined etc., but they are in the top of the price you're looking for.

Well my kryptonite crank broke after 10 years and a lot of 7500rpm runs. but now I need a new crank I want to keep my JE pistons (1.15 pin)
change the rods and crank  to a 3.850 stroke and 6.125 rod for a 9.2 deck SVO block So the question is
1 Eagle - 4340 good price
2 Scat   A bit more money
3 Callies  more money but do I need it
4 what is a good crank?  and what is a good rod      PS $2000, or so and less is good.  what do you guys think
