The Dino was about 12,000 ( 6 cyl ) and the Daytona was about 16,500.
A top of the line Lincoln was about 8,000 and you could buy a Corvette for
$5,500. A 70 Mach One with 351C was about 3,200. A series 2 XKE was about
7'500 (6 cyl)

In 1971, you could have bought any Cobra, Ferrari GTO or MB 300SL Gullwing
for 10,000 or less. You could have bought a Superbird with a 426 Hemi or
440 for 2,500. Or a used 65 GTO, with 389 TriPower and M22 4 spd for $1,500.
