[DeTomaso] Ignition resistance wire?

My Pantera has a ballast resistor instead of a resistor wire. It's
mounted near the coil. When starting the car, the coil gets full
voltage. But when running, the resistor heats up and the voltage to
the coil drops to 8 or 9 volts. If you have a ballast resistor you
probably don't have a resistor wire. I have an odd factory setup too
since it's an early car so YMMV.

If you run a 12V coil, you could just eliminate the ballast resistor.
Might boil out a 9v coil though. I use a Unilite so I need the 9V
system.
