[DeTomaso] Ignition resistance wire?

I'm not exactly sure, but my interpretation of what you tested won't 
tell you if there is a resistor here.  I'm assuming that by "isolated 
from the coil" means you removed these wires from the coil.  If that's 
the case, you won't see a voltage drop across a resistor in these wires. 
  You should only see a voltage drop on the Red and Pink wire if they 
are connected to the coil and the (-) terminal on the coil is connected 
to ground.

Under normal circumstances the resistor is supposed to be between the 
battery and the coil.  The resistor is supposed to be "shorted" out when 
you turn the key to start.
