Maybe. It's possible for the shuttle valve to jam at one end of its travel,
essentially restricting fuid flow to either the front or the rear pair of
calipers depending on the direction of overtravel. This can negatively affect
braking from that pair of calipers. Our shuttle valve, unlike most others,
has no return spring internally so if the shuttle overtravels and gets
stuck- maybe in some varnish build-up, there's no way to free it besides applying
external force to push the shuttle to the center again. If the shuttle
sticks, you may notce a red indicator light on the dash, but that's not definite
because there are THREE parameters that can turn on that warning light.
Some have been lucky with applying air pressure thru a bleeder screw on a
stuck-caliper to blow the shuttle back, while the traditional way is to
remove it, find which end the shuttle has moved to and use a pin-punch and small
hammer. Either way is messy- and brake fluid softens paint. Good luck- J
