[DeTomaso] FW: Some nice music...

Hopefully Dick won't mind the fact that I am forwarding his private e-mail
to the list...

 

Interesting - I've been checking out the Automotive Forums in Spain, and the
DeTomaso was the hit. A lot of very very positive comments. 

 

"The DeTomaso was the crown jewel of the event...".

 

"The most surprising car there - the Pantera. I'd never seen one in person,
and the sound was just amazing..."

 

High praise considering the quantity and quality of some of the cars
there...

 

I'm still laughing at the reaction on the video when I started the motor
(the second link in the below e-mail)

 

For die-hards, you can go to Youtube and search under "Superdeportivo
Santander 2012" and there are a dozen links with cars in motion.

Charles, loved the videos of the car at the event.  The Pantera represented
itself very well, and as is the case these days, garners more and more
attention at every event in which it participates.  I do believe the Pantera
is finally coming of "age", so to speak.

Here's one that is long, 10 minutes, but it is at the beginning of a
straightaway and there are some nice sounds as the cars accelerate. The
event was great - the cops blocked off traffic in the middle of the city,
and we sort of got to run like at Monaco. The police were, um, exceptionally
tolerant of "displays of speed".

I found it interesting that the Pantera was singled out of all the cars
there - of the 6 videos I found on Youtube, 3 were of the Pantera! In this
one, I start the engine and they come running to hear it:
